The Siegels
TLC for the Blind is honored to recognize David and Myra Siegel, parents of Lynn, a long time TLC resident and day program participant. The Siegels will tell you what it was like to raise a daughter with multiple disabilities and blindness. They will express to you the great challenges and frustration they encountered trying to find the right program for Lynn and they will also tell you of the relief and joy they felt when they found Therapeutic Living Centers for the Blind. What they will not readily tell you is how they have turned their faith in TLC into active and ongoing donor support for this agency over the course of many, many years.

The Siegels have always been there to help out financially when there has been a need that they feel should be addressed. Most recently, their desire to make TLC a more effective agency has created “The Siegel Training Fund.” This new support will allow TLC to invest in additional staff training to better serve the overall needs of individuals who are multiply impaired and blind. “The Siegel Training Fund” will also focus on enhancing the skills of our clients to promote independence and self-esteem.

Both well into their nineties, there are no better examples of what it is like to be a dedicated lifetime supporter than Myra and David Siegel.
