David Lapoint Shines in the Creative Arts Program
Therapeutic Living & Learning Centers (TLC) is excited to highlight David Lapoint, a beloved member of the Creative Arts Program for more than three years. At 65, David brings incredible energy, charisma, and creativity to every performance and class.
Since joining the program, David has grown into one of the program’s most recognized actors. He has taken on leading roles in Oklahoma, Cinderella, and The Greatest Family Story—performing for audiences of more than 200 across six sold-out shows. His strong stage presence and powerful tenor voice leave lasting impressions, while his commitment to rehearsing lines and collaborating with cast mates shows his deep dedication to the performing arts.
Building Confidence On and Off the Stage
Offstage, David is admired for his kindness and his ability to connect with others. Whether sharing stories with peers, chatting with instructors, or visiting family up north, he radiates warmth and positivity. His instructors describe him as a gifted performer with a natural ability to light up the stage and inspire those around him.
David’s talents extend beyond theatre. He volunteers at senior living communities, sharing his love of music and bringing joy to others. At home, he enjoys cooking, traveling, and making memories with friends.

This semester, David is enrolled in a range of classes that reflect his passion for the arts and learning:

- Aquatic Fitness – nurturing his love for swimming and wellness
- Voice Class – strengthening his vocal range and performance skills
- Job Skills & Volunteering – preparing for opportunities to give back
- Culinary Arts – experimenting with recipes and sharing meals
- Money Management – building practical life skills
- Play Production – continuing to shine on stage
