From his first days in TLC’s children’s after-school programs to his standout performances on stage, Fredy Lopez has grown into a true star in the TLC Creative Arts Program community.
For more than 25 years, Fredy has brought energy, creativity, and joy to every rehearsal, class, and live production. He lives in North Hollywood with his devoted mother, Elisa. His journey has been filled with dedication and growth. Over the years, he has become known for his stage talent as well as the warmth and enthusiasm he brings to every class, rehearsal, and volunteer opportunity.
Elisa, his biggest supporter, is a constant presence at rehearsals and live productions. Her pride is unmistakable as she cheers on her son’s many accomplishments.
“Whether he is volunteering, lending a hand, or learning something new, Fredy does it all with a smile that lights up the room,” says one instructor.
Loved by classmates and staff alike, his vibrant personality and dedication make him a true role model.
Fredy’s Journey Through the TLC Creative Arts Program
Last December, Fredy captivated audiences of more than 300 as the Prince in TLC’s sold-out production of Cinderella. His performance was both charming and heartfelt. The dazzling costume he helped design perfectly matched his character’s spirit.
He has also performed in Reflections and several dance showcases at the newly renovated Black Box Theatre in Reseda.
This year, Fredy shifted his focus to dance. Instead of acting and singing, he dedicated his time to the Dynamite Dance Team. Together, they have performed at community events including the Annual Spring Fair at the Sherman Oaks/East Valley Recreation Center, the Annual Summer Showcase, and the Reflections Dance Recital. At the 2025 Boundless Talent Show, the team proudly earned second place among ten competing groups.
Giving Back to the Community
Fredy also gives back through volunteering. He supports events such as the Annual Christmas Tea Luncheon hosted by the Granada Hills Women’s Club and celebrations with Northridge Pacifica Senior Living. In addition, he performs for local organizations. His generosity, enthusiasm, and uplifting spirit always leave an impact.
Passions Beyond the Stage
When he’s not performing, Fredy immerses himself in hobbies that highlight his creativity and love of adventure. He’s a dedicated gardener who contributes to TLC’s monthly Pop-Up Garden Market. There, he helps design floral arrangements and inspires others with plant projects.
He enjoys exploring nature at the Ventura Botanical Gardens and visiting the Abilities Expo. He also loves traveling to places like Universal Studios and Pez Farm.
Fredy embraces fun and imagination through gaming and cosplay. At anime expos, he brings characters to life with bold costumes. His unique fashion sense and colorful socks make him a standout in any crowd.
In addition, he thrives in the pool, finding joy in aquatic fitness and the company of his peers. In every activity, his positivity and effort shine through.
TLC Creative Arts Program Classes
Since officially joining the TLC Creative Arts Program in 2024, Fredy has explored dance, ceramics, aquatic fitness, gardening, music, visual arts, and live theatre.
