Our summer arts classes for kids offer a creative and active way for children to spend their summer exploring new interests. Kids can experience fine arts, music, dance, cooking, gardening and fitness activities, all in one dynamic program. These creative summer classes for kids encourage imagination, friendship and joyful discovery throughout the summer months.
Families from across the West Valley enroll their children in our summer programs, including from Reseda, Encino, Tarzana, Woodland Hills, Northridge and surrounding communities. The classes bring together kids from many neighborhoods who are excited to create, learn and play together.
Our summer program is designed to welcome children of all abilities and interests, giving everyone the opportunity to explore creativity, movement and discovery. Through a mix of arts, music, performance, cooking and physical activity, children can try new experiences while building confidence and friendships. The flexible and supportive environment allows kids to learn at their own pace, encouraging independence, curiosity and joyful exploration throughout the summer.
Summer classes at the TLC Children’s After School Creative Arts Program offers classical creative arts enrichment lessons at our San Fernando Valley / Reseda campus located on Lindley Avenue. Our facilities are completely accessible and include classrooms, studio spaces, and performance spaces. Children ages 5-17 and of all abilities are welcome to participate in our inclusive after school creative arts program.
The program is free of charge for children with developmental disabilities as we are an authorized service provider for the Regional Center. Classes for siblings are also free of charge thanks to a scholarship program. Families are invited to register any time of the year as new classes are always forming.
Children can attend the program Monday – Friday, with classes starting every hour. Our doors are open daily from 3:30 – 7:30 PM with flexible scheduling tailored to every child. We are a person-centered program and therefore children are invited to choose the lessons that appeal to them most as this ensures their interest and commitment. While students must enroll in at least one lesson per week, they have the opportunity to take up to 20 classes per week!
Unlike childcare programs, summer classes at TLC Children’s After School Creative Arts Program requires that a parent or guardian be on campus with their child during class time. We offer comfortable rooms for parents and guardians to work or rest while their child is engaged with their lessons.
